INDUSTRIAL X-RAY DEVELOPER
Industrial Developer
Professional Industrial Developer is dedicated chemical consumable widely applied in industrial non-destructive testing, metal weld flaw inspection, industrial radiographic detection and PCB plate-making film processing. Three independent customized formulas are available to match different production workflows: room-temperature manual processing type, high-temperature fast automatic machine type, and universal dual-purpose formula suitable for both manual and machine operation. With stable chemical activity and excellent anti-oxidation performance, it delivers consistent, uniform imaging tone and fine grain details for all industrial radiographic negatives.
Core Product Advantages
This industrial developer concentrate features powerful anti-oxidation capability, extending the service cycle of diluted working liquid and reducing frequent liquid replacement frequency in continuous production lines. It maintains stable optical density and fine grain presentation, effectively lowering the reject rate of flaw detection films caused by uneven developing.
Wide compatibility enables perfect matching with all mainstream industrial wet X-ray films on the market. When used together with matched industrial fixer, it can generate standard high-definition radiographic images for industrial quality inspection.

Three Standard Processing Formulas
1. Room Temperature Manual Processing Formula
Suitable for small and medium inspection workshops with small-batch manual darkroom film development, packaged in 5L large concentrate bottles with long shelf life.
| Chemical Product | Dilution Ratio | Temperature | Processing Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Industrial Developer Concentrate | 1:3 (liquid : water) | Ambient room temperature | 120 ~ 300 seconds |
| Matched Industrial Fixer | 1:3 (liquid : water) | Ambient room temperature | 120 ~ 300 seconds |
2. High-Temperature Rapid Automatic Machine Formula
Designed for continuous assembly line automatic film processors, featuring high temperature resistance and fast development speed. Auxiliary B liquid must be added to stabilize chemical activity and extend replenishment cycle.
| Chemical | Dilution Ratio | Temp Range | Time | Replenishment Volume |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Machine Developer A Liquid | 1:3 | 20 ~ 38°C | 120 ~ 300s | 300 ~ 450ml per square meter |
| Machine Fixer A Liquid | 1:3 | 20 ~ 38°C | 120 ~ 300s | 300 ~ 450ml per square meter |
Operation Tip: Dilute A liquid with water at 1:3 first, then slowly add B liquid under continuous stirring to avoid chemical imbalance caused by one-time pouring.
3. Universal Dual-Purpose Formula (Manual & Machine Shared)
Integrated universal formula without extra auxiliary B liquid, simplifying inventory and operation management, ideal for factories with mixed manual and automatic processing workflows. Small 1L bottle packaging is available for small-batch production to reduce liquid waste.
| Chemical | Dilution Ratio | Temp Range | Time | Replenishment Volume |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Universal Industrial Developer | 1:3 | 18 ~ 38°C | 120 ~ 300s | 100 ~ 200ml per square meter |
| Matched Universal Fixer | 1:3 | 18 ~ 38°C | 120 ~ 300s | 100 ~ 200ml per square meter |
Optional Industrial Developer Powder
For regions with strict liquid dangerous goods transportation limits, solid powder developer is provided as an alternative. It occupies smaller storage space and cuts logistics costs; users only need to mix with clean water on site, and the final developing performance is completely consistent with liquid concentrate. Standard packaging: 1kg per bag, 10 bags per carton.
Storage & Operation Safety Precautions
Sealed concentrated liquid must be stored in cool, dark places away from high temperature and direct sunlight. After dilution into working solution, finish usage within two weeks to prevent performance attenuation.
All preparation and film processing work must be carried out in well-ventilated spaces. Operators shall wear protective gloves and goggles to prevent direct contact between liquid and skin or eyes. Never mix raw developer concentrate and fixer concentrate directly.
Darkroom safelight standard: Adopt 15W frosted bulb with deep red filter, keep the light source at least 1.2 meters away from film stock to avoid light fog and defective radiographic negatives.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Can industrial developer be used for medical X-ray film processing?
A: It cannot be used interchangeably. Industrial developer has higher concentration and different chemical composition specially tuned for industrial NDT films. Using it on medical diagnostic film will cause excessive base fog and blurred tissue details, failing clinical imaging standards.
Q2: What is the function of B liquid matched with high-temperature machine developer?
A: The 5L A liquid contains core developing components, while B liquid is auxiliary stabilizer. It maintains stable chemical activity during long continuous machine operation, slows liquid aging and ensures consistent developing density throughout mass production.
Q3: Is the formula of small-bottle universal developer identical to large 5L universal concentrate?
A: The internal formula is fully consistent, only the single-bottle capacity differs. Small 1L packaging is designed for small-batch production workshops to avoid waste of unused concentrated liquid after opening.
